Monday -
Evonie - Formative Assessment-Students will complete a KWL chart of what they know about ezines. In addition, students will complete a bubble map on changes in their community. Teacher and students will conduct a question and answer session on the objectives and information discussed.
Charles - Formative assessment - Short student conferences will be held
Tuesday -
Keith - First Formative Assessment - The teacher will use the checklist, above, to identify student/group progress
Evonie - Formative Assessment-Students will complete a Venn diagram on change in their community and change in the community of the students in the other classroom.
Charles - Formative assessment - Teacher will respond to comment posted on wallwisher
Wednesday -
Evonie - Formative Assessment-Teacher and students will have a question and answer session on the information and objectives discussed
Charles - Formative assessment - Student will be provided feedback on checklist of observed behaviors and conversations overheard during the week
Thursday -
Evonie - Teacher will meet with students to see the progress of their projects.
Keith - Second & Third Formative Assessments - The teacher will use the checklist, above, to identify student/group progress, as well as iRespond student response system to quiz a quick quiz.
Charles - Formative assessment- Groups will give short preview of documentary presentation
Friday - ALL CLASSES - Formative Assessment - The students will complete a formative essay on, what they have learned more about their community because of this project. The rubric for this will be the same rubric used for the Final Summative Assessment. ALL CLASSES - Summative Assessment - The students will upload their finalized presentation to the wiki. The teacher will use the Presentation Rubric to grade the groups products.
Final Summative Assessment -
The students will use the writing prompt, above, to complete the final summative essay. This will be completed prior to the next class meeting, so that students with no internet/computer access can utilize the school computers. The rubric is listed above.

Students will write a letter to the Chamber of Commerce outlining some suggestions to help revitalize the local economy.
Students will response to open end response prompts on the causes and possible solutions to the challenges their local economy face.
Students will consider the impact human environmental changes have had on the community and each member will post their own reflection of wallwisher and collaborative wiki
